Through reduction, designers Maurizio Mancini and Davide Groppi reveal an elegant purity of form and vision in each poetic light they create. In the Masai Floor Lamp, this reduction results in a minimal linear fixture that is the perfect solution for lighting pictures and paintings on the wall. Slim in form, the vertical light is suspended on a thin wire that is attached to a cylindrical canopy mounted to the ceiling and is held taught with a matching weighted base. Along the wire, the light may be adjusted in height and direction allowing a for a customizable illumination. The slim form is made possible by the use of advanced LED, highlighting the designers’ quest to meld design and technology in harmonious fashion.
